Torrential showers and one clap of thunder today so far. Looks like the showers are from here southwards, I'm on the Northern edge of it all.

Looking a lot better now - now the air is that bit more convective it seems to be dispersing a lot of the mucky cloud from earlier.

Had one heavy downpour about 20 mins ago, now the skies are sunny :D That should assist in beefing up anything heading your direction!

Localised springs to mind - scattered heavy showers are expected through today though.

Shall be going for a walk with the camera shortly to have a look over Rochester / Cuxton and looking up towards the M2 to see what's worth taking a picture of. Looks pretty dark to the West/South-West which makes sense looking at radar.

Cloudy morning in Norwich but we're now heading into "sun and showers" territory, and some thunder activity showing up over the south Midlands/northern Home Counties, which looks on a collision course with Norwich- obviously I will be hoping for that electrification and intensity to increase as it heads east!

To my trained eye that cell W. of Birmingham looks like its spinning with a good hook right in its inflow. Anyone round there/chasing currently on this thing?

Very up and down here! One minute we have some blue sky and fluffy white clouds. Then bam dark, windy and heavy rain!

I really hope that if we do get storms here then they wait till Ive done the school run. :help:

Should look great over the farmers fields (which is what my garden overlooks). that's where I'll be setting my camera to record if we get anything.

Gusts really picked up here in the last 20 minutes or so. Think i'm probably a little too far south for any action judging by the radar loop but it's early yet.

I'm at work in C London and all showers/cells appear to be shifting more NE than E...also, radar seems to show them pulsating so you may have got the dregs :D
