BBC says that thunderstorms are expected across parts of the westcountry today. Fingers crossed, although its very overcast here this morning with a few large spots of rain

Woken by thunder 20mins ago, sporadic large raindrops but sky overcast so unable to make out the cloud responsible

although the radar review from overnight was interesting. There must be a trough sat over the Salisbury Plain

region as developments have happened through the night, quite pulse type cells I think with rapid cell development

around 06.00-06.30! Zoom to any BA or SN postcode on the NW radar to see what I mean.
