A massive (lol!) 5mm of rain from overnight and a few heavy showers earlier today.

Now lovely and sunny with fast moving small Cumulus on a strong WSW wind.

On my first day of week off from model watching.

Howling winds here today with the odd spot of rain and again very little sunshine thus far, i noticed on the satellite the cloud over Shropshire is stagnant and moving south despite frequent 40mph gusts of wind from the west.

Heavy showers with some hail mixed in and i can see what i think is a cumulonimbus but i cant see because it goes behind the trees

Just 0.2mm of rain overnight leading to a mostly sunny and dry day but with a gusty wind.

The maximum temperature was 17.5C, so rather warm for May even in cooler upper air.

Currently 16.8C and 49% humidity.

Not a bad day with some showers earlier but mainly just some Ac at about 12000ft for most of the afternoon. There was quite a good example of a contrail shadow on the AC but difficult to get the contrast. Temp 14.5C with a blustery WNW wind.

Not a bad day in the main. Bright spells with some sunshine from time to time and much lighter winds than yesterday. We did catch a short lived but very heavy shower mid afternoon. This evening so far has been fine.
