I've just heard a distant rumble probably from the storm nearby , its quite close to me at the moment, a nice looking cell I must say! (I'm on the Northern outskirts of Cambridge)

Today no rain or thunder in a nice gap between the heavy rain further north and the storms south. Im not complaining has been a good time to play with the new dog and i have to say she is wonderful so for once im happy with the weather

Had quite a lively storm earlier around 1.30pm here near Croydon with torrential rain I haven't seen the likes of for a while and some good T & L too:

... been quiet since though can see a line of cbs to my NW which may or may not clip me soon. Though more likely pass to the north over central London. Not been a bad two or three weeks for storms, 5 now since 26th May.

are the upper winds odd in Essex area ?

just radar showing cells to west going due east

yet looking at cloud bases abd duirection of travel overhead - not just the lower clouds- but upper ones too

they're moving fromhere ENE?

Some very high precipitation rates from the cell just to my North, unfortunately it might only just clip my location, though there has been a few more rumbles of thunder since my earlier post.

South Essex and North Kent might well be in the firing line this evening!

I'm on the back end of the Cambridgeshire cell now, infrequent thunder and lightning still. Lovely cell, if only my camera had not run out of battery!

just had the one to your north ,it was a good storm lots of thunder ,very heavy rain and marrowfat pea size hail
