several places in the Vale of York reporting a ground frost and I think a count of 20 places from Wales, the Manchester area northward with a ground frost

There was a good deal of cloud high and mid level through the morning, though by early afternoon more broken cloud allowed sunny spells. Further showers developed throughout the area, with some heavy, but as on par with the last few days, this location only received a few light spots.

Amazing that in spite of the doom and gloom about Summer from many areas of this site, the mainly dry/ drought conditions persist over much of Wales, central and SE England. Just 10mm this month here, while Coventry has not had 1mm yet! That's less than 2 inches in almost three and a half months!
