The first what I would call 'chilly' day here today. Some sunny spells this morning but an afternoon of very heavy showers, at times torrential with gusty winds. Rain became more persistent for a time this afternoon but gradually got lighter and now just windy with clear spells. Decidedly autumnal today though.

A strange day. It felt very summery in the morning and afternoon with good sunny spells and only a very brief shower. This evening however it has been raining heavily pretty much non-stop. The "Modern July" factor has kicked in.
