08-07-2011: Height of Summer Thunderstorms

Probably the most convective day of the month, a number of thunderstorms formed very quickly after 11am in the West Country and formed into streamers running SW-NE associated with a rPm airmass.

As usual nothing passed overhead, always to the NW or the SE, but plenty of thunder was to be heard between 2-5pm. We did however catch the monumental downpours.
