There arnt many showers in the northbwest area for at least a few hours. There are however showers on their way over from ireland, currently tracking over mid ireland. Whether or not they reach us though is a diff matter. Maybe that is whats to come tonight that is mentioned on the meto website.

I have been using bt readings as i live quite close to him but looking at the map my temp os more like 5 c for some reason bt temp os 2 c higher than any where in the northwest

Not in college today mate, Tuesday's are my day off.

Crystal clear skies, so my temperature sensor is a couple of Celsius out. The true temperature is 5.5C, and the dewpoint is below zero. :good:

it ended up dry through, must be too dry for rain to fall at the moment.

There's a shower approaching here, ill let you know what it turns out to be.

That looks like a streamer heading our way. With the temps it will probably be hail.

Air frost is the temp of about 1meter off the ground isnt it? Something to do with the atmosphere being as low as 1 meter.

2m is Met Office standards.

Temperature falling here Stephen - 5.4C.

Also, no I don't see a streamer, just a few light showers.

Yep, models nearly always under-estimate the moderating effect of the Irish/North sea in their respective airflows, so not at all surprising that is the case this time.

Anyhow, I'm going to lock this thread and get a new regional thread open.
