As useful as a solar powered torch?

Well no, because a solar powered torch would be charged in the day for use of a night. :winky:

Neither have I, must be a Crewe thing :winky: I have heard of the torch one mind you. Although Backtrack gives a good debunking of that saying.

Im not building any hopes up for tomorrow, if we get anything this far north I can only think that it might be too light and all we will get is drizzle.

Sorry guys, it was game over before it started.

Temperatures and dewpoints are over 3C widely, and the cloud from the low is going to make temperature stall.

I'm under clear skies, and my temperature is stalled..... 4.5C here.

Not like any precipitation will reach this far North anyway. :(

Mine has not stalled at all. Currently 3.4C and continuing to fall along with the dew point

BT you need to make your mind up about your temperature at 18:08 you say your temp has stalled..at 4.5C then 8 minutes later its at 3.7C?? Temperatures can fall quickly but my god, thats just unrealistic to have fallen that quickly

Showers have cleared to the north after dropping some rain and hail, more developing over the Irish Sea by the look of things.

Here it is 3C with a consistent SWly breeze (averaging 2.2mph), and the cloud has now gone over, falling at 0.1C/hr

So you are trying to tell me, that in less than 15 minutes your temp has dropped nearly 2C?..i find that hard to believe :p

Temperature: 3.5 °C is what your system is saying..not 2.8C which is about the average everywhere at the moment..id even suspect manchester has pretty much similar temps as those further west like us

There is nothing in the irish sea, however there is a huge rainband in the sw, pushing east / north eastwards and I really can't see how that would even reach beyond the midlands or maybe as steven says crewe...i just dont see how its possible...and when the wind swings westwards it will push it even further away east from us.

That station is on the chimney breast. As I always say, disregard the temperatures from it.

My Met Office standard station is below 3C now.

so why have that station online if its stuck on the chimney reporting incorrect values?

It's all in one. I wanted an anemometer on the roof, so I had to sacrifice the temperature readings for wind speed! :)

Yeah I was messing with the offsets on my software. It's not -3C, don't worry.

Got 2 stations. One at Met Office height in my back garden, one on the chimney. The chimney one is the Wunderground one.

0900-1200hours = 9 hours?

The forecast shows sleet for 3 hours then rain showers.
