Not often one experiences advection fog in late April-800m at the airport close by here.

Cold ground and warmer air above it.

16.8mm of rain for my rain gauge so others in the area quite probably over 20mm.

well over 100mm this month now.

20.8mm from this system in the end here, which is quite a hefty rainfall for this area.

A thoroughly miserable day as some have said.

I ended up with 37.5mm in my gauge which I only emptied an hour ago, so that wasn't the 24 hour total because there were further showers

in the first half of the morning.

One thing I wasn't expecting from the LOW was to be woken by hail, however at 01.40-01.50 a very heavy shower moved through and my

bleary eyes had to look outside - am very glad I did because a few of the stones on my car looked to be marble sized.
