Morning MK, pleased to announce I currently have a frosty bin lid :)

Temp currently at 1.6C, had quite a bit of fog over night but it has lifted out of the village and back onto the fields.

Frosty, foggy, pink sunrise..... Beautiful morning :)

Clear with a touch of air frost last night. Misty before dawn.

Spells of hazy sun to 1500, the Cs layers then thick enough to blot out the sun. Milder with a gentle south breeze.

Clear intervals this evening, but light rain not far away according to the radar.

A lovely October day here over South Lakeland. It dawned cold with a widespread ground frost. Very little cloud all day, sparkling clear visibility under a still 'warm feeling' sun and no wind. Sat outside this afternoon. It has turned into one of the best weekends of the whole year so far, if you are after dry pleasant weather. Yesterday stayed dry though it was a foggy start and there was much less sunshine but still a decent day. Temperatures maxed out at 13 degrees - which is average for this time of year, proving that the current high is not a 'warm' one. Think back to last year when low 20's were being recorded.

Autumn 2012 is continuing to show very traditional affair, we are now experiencing the frosts and fogs, having experienced the traditional dry warm start to september, followed by the first autumnal storms around the equinox and heavy rains and now the quieter side of October.

After a dull, cold and murky start here in northants the sun came out *yay* ...

...Just as I left to go to the Herts game and country show at Redbourne where it stayed cooler and overcast most of the day (still a grand day out though)

Some dense and sporadic fog/mist patches out there this evening though.
