102, is that good if you like cold/snow? because Feb seems to have been a typical modern february, like the old April

The higher the value, the more wintrier it was. Not sure how you define a typical modern February? It certainly wasn't mild overall.

And it is going to turn out the coldest 2nd half to winter for the CET since 1995-96.

I thought this thread may well have disappeared as we waived goodbye to Winter. However, it seems we may just be having an interesting Mothers day and beyond.

I'll get my Mum's present ready right now...

Not sure this is the right thread as is such close timeframe that can it really be classed as ramping, please tell me this isn't some cruel joke by the models, this is quite possibly one of the best charts i have ever seen.

Nope, looks like someone spilt liquid nitrogen in Scandinavia and it flowed all the way down to the UK!

the flowers are a good barometer of the winter, snowdrops, crocuses and daffs are all late this year and all the grass is still yellow

Hate to admit it, but actualy cut the grass yesterday! With luck it maybe snow covered again by next week!

have seen a few people cutting grass first over a week ago..i have a word for that....premature,i guess it is what your local conditions are though,it used to be the 3rd week of march as a rule of thumb
