So no point of a south west...Ski meet on your hill?... Other thoughts... Anyone think the flooded fields will freeze? in a few days?

It's been hammering it down in Plymouth again. Drenched just going to the car 15 minutes ago. At least spurs won the footie!! Whoop Whoo!

That would look kinda cool to see all the frozen mini lakes on fields... I remember quite a few years back after a wet spell we had a decent cold spell and some of the local kids were using the field as ice skating etc.

If it turned out marginal your welcome to come on up for a beverage etc good.gif

Check this out, it's all over my FB account biggrin.png

Scroll down the page until you see our local weatherman. Would put pic up here but it may offend.

I don't think it works unless you have an FB account.

Hammering down here! a long with the wind sad.png

If it's similar to how we had it here in Plymouth it'll stop soon enough. Ours lasted about twenty minutes.

I'm not sure Fergie would have been so forthcoming, but it's true nonetheless.

rofl.gif I think he was probably thinking it though when doing the forecast! rofl.gif

Absolutely lashing down here now. The radar looks angry again :(

Oh my god! This is scary again! Almost looks like a squall line on the radar... Think we are under it!

Here we go again! After squally, but relatively short lived, showers during dayllight hours, it's now tanking down as hard as it can go, adding in the gusty winds too. Can't wait for all this to be over, it's been around long enough now, pretty much a whole week.

Oh dear I really hope someone spilt their coffee and messed the ecm up because if it had its way our cold spell wouldn't even get off the ground... sad.png It would also signal more wet weather which is last thing we need lazy.gif

I wouldn't worry about model output at this stage...It wasn't long ago that output was showing very little in the way of cold synoptics....It seems to hinge on a canadian low pressure system that doesn't even exist yet, hence my post in the MOD....the model's don't control the weather, it's the other way around smile.png

More immediate worries lie in the band of heavy rain pushing through our region, some very bright echoes on radar

yep I just took another squizz at the radar and sure enough there is a squall line. It touches the coast where you are but spans the channel! Bit like the other night. Spooky

I can see us getting more than the 10-20mm forecast at this rate.
