This is just the first band you're looking at, which will most likely only give a dusting at best for the region. The real fun starts when the much more substantial second band moves in drinks.gif

At least if we get nothing tonight we won't get dissapointed seeing the rain washing it away.

On the nae I noticed a slight "correction " west at the 1800hrs time frame , I still think we will see some , with any elevation should be ok to keep the snow

Any snow still lying on the Malverns from yesterday? (if it got any). Lickey has some on top but couldn't see any on Clent.

Sorry for the delay replying, Gord... nope we didn't get any snow yesterday on the Malverns, it's just frosty out today. Now it's gone really overcast and the temp is at 0.3oC.

Rain today showing echos here, but nothing is falling. If anything the sky seems to be clearing. Surprise surprise those Welsh hills are doing their destruction job like they only do in winter.

Look in the irish sea, seems to be heavier ppn folloiwng this weak band, this might be what was modelled for tonight, after all we were never expecting anything till about then so this is extra.

Just checked again and it is coming down- the lightest snow I've ever seen. Even if everything was frozen solid it would take hours to give even a dusting.

The 1st band is crumbling quicker than the Villa defence ;)

It is somewhat fragmented, we had hazy sunshine mid afternoon. Looks fairly overcast at Cov on the webcam though.

Anyone know if Northampton is in the firing line for decent snow event from this by any chance?

Wow, that band of snow has really broken up and is dying away quick. Looking like we may get nothing this evening and tonight now.

Doubtful by the looks of it. May allow for clearer skys and lower temps because if it prior to the 2nd band moving in. I hope. Ukmo at 144 has us all in for a foot of snow so there's always that sNOw event to look forward to

Lost the first band and the second one is looking iffy for snow chances.

Always knew that the 2nd band was going to be a problem for getting snow but didn't expect to lose the 1st band quite so dramatically. That is disappointing. Lets hope for a surprise tomorrow.
