Still light snow here, around 4 inches on pavements, not much less on side roads :-)

I really don't get the issue with the difference between 6-7cm and 10-12cm.... it looks and acts the same when your on a sledge or throwing a snowball

Not sure you can count today as a disappointment in Shrewsbury still a fair amount for us... not so much in the town, but my folks live 4 miles out of town where snow stuck yesterday and they have nearer 10cm. The main reason I think that we have less than other places is all the light snow we had yesterday did not stick, where by to the east of us they had base layers of 2-5cm already before today's band.

Everyone loves snow, but why so negative when everywhere outside is covered in it!

Still light snow here and a lot of blowing snow around, but radar getting more and more sparse.

All good things must come to an end, but wow, what a day!

Very pleased with that one!

Hey Shezale - I posted a Cov 1990 pic on here a few weeks back too! Apparently, there's a thread on Netweather forums especiaaly to do with the Midlands snow event in Dec 1990, and Cyclone Happiness asked me to add an entry (and any more pics) when I got a mo.

Be interesting to see any more of your pics too?

Snow definitely tailing off here now. We've ended up with around 6-7 inches (so far anyway!)

Was starting to see blue sky here, but filled in quickly again and snow even pepping up slightly again. Thought that was it! It's hanging on for dear life isn't it?!

I'd say snowing at a rate of 0.5-0.8cm per hour. Considering this should last till 6pm tomorrow then even without any notable intensification we are still going to do well either way.

How much precipitation is around west mids at the moment ?

Hard to tell. Radar suggests not much but still going for it out there.

Round two Sunday evening??

METO now showing snow all the way into Wales, GFS however has it an East Midlands event mainly with just flurries, hopefully will keep backing westwards.

Doing really well here must be 6" so far but that's on top of last night's inch.

Gonna go down in the history books this winter imo.

Just got back in after 4+ hours i belive thats the best way to spend it! easily 15cm of level snow and id say a foot drifts much better than i was expecting and the best snow event for so long, id be more than happy for there to be no snow for the rest of the winter

Pretty much stopped here now. Awesome day, there's something very special about daytime snow events.

I make it about 24hrs of continuous snowfall if I include the light stuff yesterday afternoon & evening :)
