Wow. That looks like heaven, although it also looks like any more snow for you guys would be extremely dangerous.

Pretty much drift free right at the doorstep. There's some drifting in the corner of the yard about one and a half times the height

The whole thing does seem to be heading a little more north and might miss Durham entirely!

Any thoughts IF?

Pointlessly light, tiny flakes have been falling for quite a while now, giving a sugar dusting in the last 4 hours or so.

Bulk was always forecasted for North Tyneside into south Northumberland- plenty of light-mod snow for Durham and Tyne and Wear.

Another band moves from the E/SE and should give much of the region some heavy snow from 4-5am onwards as well.

Non event south of Newcastle I think.

I'm not sure how we can get any med-heavy showers tonight here... looks like it'll all be north and we'll get clear skies to me.

Looking threw the last few hours here the wind has gone from a easterly to a SSE and the temperture has droped 2c in two hours and the dew point has drpoed with it. Less sea modifacation

Looking at that band moving up from the south just hope it keeps increasing in size therefore bringing the south of our region into play.

Amazing pictures from Consett keep them coming guys, can you imagine if that much fell in London we would have the army on standby and a national emergency and plasterd all over BBC news.

Can't see much evidence of that. Seems to be breaking up from here south if anything.
