The rain of the last couple of hours has turned to moderate flakes and intensity of wet snow. Not ventured out to sniff the air...yet! Friday's snow has pretty much gone, and this is not lying, yet.

Light sleet/snow in Warminster, very light now though. Any ideas if Warminster is in a good position for heavier snow later?? We are on the edge of the amber warning so hopefully see at least 5cm

We should be Fred, just need to be patient for the active part of the front to move North as at present it's from Winchester-Bridgwater. Once that happens we'll

get heavier snow rather than the lighter showery stuff we've had for 3 hours!

It's slow moving so that means a wait for it to happen but likewise it'lll last longer once here!

Still falling heavy here. Good layer on the cars now. Just keeps gettingaheavier and bigger flakes

Sleety snow grains falling in Newbury, Berkshire.

This potentially has the makings of a rather snowy event as suggested by some of the wiser heads in here.

Temperature finally on the way down and if we can keep winds from the East, things will be looking interesting for a lot of us inland, as time progresses.

EDIT: 1.0c, was 1.1c as a maximum, DP now 0.4c and falling.

Hooray! Finally turning to sleet/wet snow now! Temp 1.9C, DP 0.5C. Still need it a bit colder...no chance of settling yet
