If my work life let me I would happily move away myself, weather can turn so quick up there, in the morning I drove across the peaks and was nice and sunny and in the afternoon snake pass A57 was blocked of by police as snow gates closed.

Really poor rainfall forecast by the MMM, last one suggests precipitation coming from the North East over East Anglia sinking south, instead nothing there and coming from the South East!!

Interseting to hear your take on it Tamara, I am down in the cove at Fairlight and elevation played a key role this time as the firehills hung on to its fall where as the thaw was quite quick on Saturday and again Monday in the cove.

The Firehills kept a reasonable amount for most of Monday, but by Tuesday afternoon there just a few slushy patches up there. Last nights snow added nothing unfortunately, and this afternoon it was a muddy mess, with drizzle, low cloud and mist making it a very drab scene !!

Hello, what's happening here then! Moderate snow, temp fallen from 1.9c to 1.2c in 30 mins? Wasn't expecting anything tonight?

Well we have snow shrimper! DP's well ok but would like to see the temp fall further although has droped 0.3 in last half hour.

Yes quite nice sized flakes as well, getting heavier all the time.

Love the way these snow events turn up and not 1 single model can handle this.

Would love to know CWT's prediction on this one!

Do you know what,I use to love coming on this Forum to chat about the weather and try to learn along the way ,listen to people's views and forecasts .Some know what they are talking about and some don't but it doesn't matter it's only weather. What I don't like is the constant bickering on here at the moment ,if someone says something you don't like or agree with then just ignore it .Everyone is entitled to their views or opinions .Lets get back to the happy thread that we use to be last year and the year before smile.png

i agree completely

Met Office have been saying heavy snow all day for tonight, but it wasn't meant to hit until the early hours of Thursday.

The ppn to the SE has started to intensify. The wind direction off the North Sea is Easterly according to http://www.xcweather.co.uk/ biggrin.png

I've alerted the big chief at Croydon Council about the latest ppn potential help.gif

This is truly amazing clap.gif

Definitely pepping up in the estuary big time, needs an ENE to bring about another potential Feb 09 but the way it's tilting and firing up in the estuary can see north London and east London getting a good fall

Snowing here - tiny, snizzly flakes but being blown by a strong east wind. Could be snizzlemageddon after all :D
