Wow the whole of west London seems to have burst into life too in the last 20 mins, light precip but has come out of nowhere so must be some disturbance bringing all that into life.

Not to mention the stuff kicking off in northern France and the estuary stubbornly clinging on, things could be getting interesting

Well what's going on now?? Either anaprop or a very slight build of very, very light ppn has appeared over West London...Too far West of me right now, but the sky is more orange than it has been all night.

Very odd.

Very light snow in Bromley

It really looks to be expanding again, looks like the latest streamer out of France has pepped it up again, still snowing lightly here in Gravesend. It's a pain really I want to go to bed!acute.gif

Well I never, forward the radar to 1am-1.30am and there is a band of snow from holland making it's way right in the direction of the estuary, with ENE forecast for later in the night maybe I am being wildly over optimistic but am starting to think of Feb 2009 again although amounts will be much less unless it really peps up in the estuary

looks like the thames has decided to take some of the precipitation

and spit it out over west london

this is looking like a thames streamer building

dry here but have a feeling not for long

I don't want to get excited yet... Give it a few more radar runs before we get OTT

Precip is light at the moment but if things pick up I think those that went to bed might just be in for the shock of their lives when they pull open the curtains in the morning :o

Agreed but it's all a bonus compared to 30 min ago, still only light here, slight dusting to cars. . Edited by bjaykent

Bit of a blob just appeared near to us, I can't even lampost watch because they turn them off the gits.

I am using christmas lights in my olive tree with the aid of a torch for the lighter ppn.

Still nothing here and radar showing a gap over my house still - Grrrrrrrrrrr

Without doubt! Just need it to build and for the convection in the Thames Estuary to go berserk!!! :D

It is snowling lightly in London SE 12 and I can almost count the individual flakes falling slowly.

It's getting quite a bit heavier in chessington but has a sleety element to it. You can hear it hitting the ground.
