not been on here for a while, and been enjoying the odd days full of sunshine, was surprised to hear of snow potential, is there potential for it to settle here, or will it just be showers with it melting as it hits the ground?

Looking at the radar, looks like the colder air is just hitting the coast now looking at the flow. Front is pretty weak

Winter of 79-funnily enough my ASL is almost exactly the same as yours! I live near the Dusty Miller in Upper Longwood. Isn't altitude amazing-snow up at sainsburys in salendine nook (allbeit wet!)-sleet down here-although I can see the 'whiteness' on the hills opposite coming down. I would think anywhere 230m ASL or more could have nasty conditions later!

light snow now here at Crosspool in Sheffield. Its also very very foggy, which isnt on any forecasts or warnings so watch out over the Pennines tonight!

Most of the front is still to the north of here so hopefully it will keep turning more to heavy snow as it moves south, i dont think anywhere has missed out yet :)

Front is woefully weak so no point worrying about it. Looking for what comes off the north sea now.

It's stopped raining here now and the wind has strengthened quite a bit. Temp starting to drop too. colder air must be arriving with the front clearing.

Temp 2.1C with Dew point 1.9C.

According to the meto's warning the showers tomorrow and Monday will organise themselves into bands of snow. Hopefully we end up under a few of them.

Climbed Snowdon last weekend. Would not like to be at the top of there the next couple of days!!!
