I'm in Southend at the moment and it feels absolutely freezing out there.

Coldest I've felt all winter (and that includes a trip to Antarctica!)

Looking at weather undergound radar, it seems this whole band, all the way to crewe and liverpool is snow away from the coast. So we could have some lying snow for a while before the second band washes it away

Southend:

Temp: 1.5c

Dew: -3.6c

Not expecting anything this far east from 1st band. Will prob fizzle out by the time it gets here. Rain from 2nd band early tomorrow.

Isn't it funny, the time where large accumulations could have happened, we hardly have any meaningful precipitation. dry.png

Well, this is exciting. A quick peek in here over my desk lunch and I find we might get snow before it rains after all. Temp has dropped to 2.5c from a high of 4.6c and the dew point is -1.5c, the lowest it's been in ages. Could be fun for a while!

Hi All - As I said yesterday afternoon, this front would end up with a more banded feature over the SE than what was progged by the models, this is coming to pass so likely we will have a heavy band of precipitation which will be all snow. I see chances increasing all the time for parts of the SE that this event will be all snow tonight - at least until the second front arrives (currently over Ireland) :) Good Luck :)
