I'm thinking of an alternative for what ocd might stand fortease.gif But collecting snow in Spring is like saving the lives of so many fallen flakes otherwise at the mercy of the warm Spring sunshinesorry.gifrofl.gif

MT8_London_ens.png

warmish to the 8th

all this warm talk is if you see some sun (some will and some wont)

wet from the 6th

note the scatter on the 9th this is the day that the models are struggling

see the 11th where the mean drops

a lot of very cold runs showing from that day plus a lot of precipitation

it is a take your pick situation but i am edging towards the cold now

lets see what ecm shows

Was in Hoddesdon Herts this evening. Temp was 2C according to the car when my daughter and me got there to get fish and chips. Got back in and it was 8C. Drove off heading towards Hertford and it gradually dropped back to 2C again. Very strange!

Record levels of snow for the time of year if the latest ECM came off, but with 9 or 10 days to go I expect downgrades

Please define record levels of snow for the time of year CWT, agree Ecm certainly seems keen for a return to winter though. mega_shok.gif

Guest bjaykent

post charts soon but gfs 18z looking very similar to ecm now

Hi john, first time I have looked today, looking to say the least a rather cold outlook at the moment, ecm looks incredible and current GFS18z as you say looking similar out to 144hrs now!

Someone posted a history the other night that showed the record for the SE in March/April was13cm in 2006, if and its a big if the ecm verifies as it is now it would be a surprise if that total was not exceeded .

ECM has a habit of FI eye candy and nothing coming lf it so am not excited at this stage but if it is right for once in FI would be surprised if 2006 isn't exceeded

ecm at 192

gfs-0-192.png?18

gfs at 192

very similar except subtle differences of the low position

after 192 gfs goes to low resolution

however gfs still puts out this

Hi John, not too much difference between ECM & GFS with a little bit of westward adjustment in the low res GFS charts
