Yep there is a storm over North france at the moment, just had an email alert come through myself

about 140 miles away

Just finished work for Plymouth City Council Highways.

Lets just say- ALL leave has been cancelled and ALL staff are in from 1800hrs this evening and gritting will start shortly.

Luckily I don't have to cover this evening.

It really is heart breaking to be honest I have seen a couple of small flurry but i'm about 1 mile north of it

I have a feeling this will be exactly what happens to the main band over night into monday...

Must be some sferics in the channel as I am getting thunderstorm alerts from the isleofwightweather station.. Anyone can verify where this maybe ?

Not sure about that PB as I hadn't been looking at the Thunderstorm aspect of things but I can confirm report a SNOW day in Newbury. Whilst only the odd flake was seen blowing on the wind, it is good to join in the fun.
