I must say I am really enjoying today far more than the snow event in Jan. Today reminds me of being a kid again, back in the 80's. Snow and cold...get in.

Drizzle started here with the very odd bit of sleet mixed in but definitely more rain than sleet.

Is this expected to push a little further east?

Luckily I don't have to cover this evening.

All the warning emails to local authorities have been churning out across the south coast I bet today..

And for all the LA winter maintenance crews out there despite what some people say when they can't be bothered to look after their own driveway and blame the council... You all do do a great job!... :)

That rain band is hitting a brick wall.

Cannot comment on Devon/Cornwall Councils, but Plymouth is ready. Now watch it rain!!

PPN band is now pivoting , I hope it hasn't reached it's Northern extent ..

It really is heart breaking to be honest I have seen a couple of small flurry but i'm about 1 mile north of it cray.gif

I have a feeling this will be exactly what happens to the main band over night into monday... aggressive.gif

Must be some sferics in the channel as I am getting thunderstorm alerts from the isleofwightweather station.. Anyone can verify where this maybe ?

Not sure about that PB as I hadn't been looking at the Thunderstorm aspect of things but I can confirm report a SNOW day in Newbury. Whilst only the odd flake was seen blowing on the wind, it is good to join in the fun.
