Just sleety rain here with a few flakes mixed in. Once heavier precipitation moves in I'm pretty confident it will turn to all snow.

Looking on rain today radar, look at that narrow finger of heavier precipitation developing between york n grimsby. Looks like a streamer may be setting up.

Just rain here in Morley had a few light bits of snow but turned back to light rain now. No dusting of any kind here

Well I didn't think there was any chance of snow here tonight as it's been far too warm and with a wind off the sea. But there's a little sleetiness in it now and a gritter went through the village recently, though probably just salting the higher roads, which is a bit of a waste of salt at the moment.

why is the front moving N/NW? forecast is for it to be coming from the NE down across all of Yorkshire. Is the wind going to change overnight?
