Those whom are getting what is quite epic, (fantastic) but those whom choose to atake cheap digs, on à whim, with little or no meteorlogical knowledge...face up....

If your under the line traveling east it's from the channel, if your under the line where it's moving west it's the streamers, If your in the bit in the middle and can't really tell whats going on, that's where they are converging.

Thanks v much - all is clear now! It's been driving me crazy all afternoon!

Steve. - massive congrats by the way on 10,000 posts - and every one a beauty! - please forgive my ignorance, but is the snow we are getting in Tunbridge Wells a result of this streamer? I am very confused by the radar - had thought it was coming North off the Channel

Streamer mate- the snow belt from the front is over the south coast-

its very confusing to the eyes-

The front WAS moving North EAST into Kent - clashing with streamers moving SW into Kent-

Somwhere in the middle they met today- so much for inhibiting convection!

That front has peeled away to the south now - its offshore with the exception of the southern tip ( rye/ camber that sort of area )

GFS wise had the same flow for 12/15 hours from 18z so until 9am tomorrow we could hold these streamers, however tomorrow will see them angle more NE/ SW instead of NNE / WSW

so good for mid kent--- London etc is now out of it....

I think I have a few hours left- infact the streamer has bomber right over me - yellow echoes & 10/10 SNOW

here-

Just took a proper measurement of the snow in our back garden , which is somewhat sheltered from the wind, 11 cm of level snow !!

Looking at the reports from Brighton(news) looks more like 1cm or 2cm. you on a high hill

Snow is on the way biggrin.png

It aint though Yamkin.

The front is not moving north andad the night goes on th wind direction is becoming less favourable for our area. Infuriating this really, I am ten miles too far north! Oh well, at least I should be able to commute tomorrow.
