A steady fall in temperature yesterday evening, eventually getting just below freezing shortly before midnight. There was also a spell of light-moderate snow which gave a temporary covering of about 0.5cm before melting again later in the night. Thick fog developed by about 0500 and, after a dry start to the morning, light-moderate sleet set in about 0830.

Lots of drifts and small snow patches lying but only about 5% of ground covered.

Still plenty of snow drifts under the walls and in hollows but ground only about 1% covered.
