Chart below needs very little description.

-14s just off the NE coast. Shockingly cold.

Looks like a lot more precipitation than previously thought for eastern Scotland too:

Could be quite a decent snowfall with a bit of intensity.

Very odd to think that it's the 22nd March and the only thing between any of us and a really good snowfall is a lack of sufficiently heavy precipitation. Everything else is set up perfectly.

My second summary of this winter's snowfall - massive potential with minimal acheivement.

The anticipation has exceeded the event in almost every case, all good fun though and the snowsports industry has done well out of it!

good job all that oil still left under the north sea will be ours, all ours, after sept next year cos we're gonna need it to keep warm.

Interesting Metlink weather have issued Extreme Warning for NW Eng and D&G and also Severe Warning for Scotland saying another 6-8hours of heavy snow as the front has stalled this was 10min ago. Found out over on Twitter Annan is completely cut off no power people told not to leave house! This could worst snowfall in history

Been snowing for most of the day here but the flakes were so small that they weren't covering the ground quickly enough for it to lie.

Between 5 and 9 the snow was lying on the grass and just starting to turn little areas of some paths white.

Everything is well and truly white now. Pleased because I was starting to doubt that I was going to see any proper lying snow at all this week.

Can confirm lying snow on plant in Grangemouth, not often I see that!

Kinda fun wandering about outside, gentle swirling snow onto wet ground among the structures but full on horizontal on plant perimeter and ground white, oh and about 1000 high power lamps to see it with! good.gif

Hee-haw here after some stuff blowing in the wind earlier. Mini-TOORP from me, as despite being in the east - and the source of the cold coming from the east - we've contrived to avoid decent snow that has happened to the north, west and south of us during the week. I give up !
