If you look at the radar you will see an almost perfectly clear patch that covers Durham, Newcastle, and Sunderland. You have to laugh.

About 5cm here near Keswick, far more than that on the A66 between Penrith and Keswick though with some pretty bad stretches where the snow is drifting onto the road.

Its coming down quite heavily now, hopefully there'll be more than this by the morning.

Look to the east or north if you want decent snow. This is the golden rule if you live in our region. Even if this front had reached us it would not deliver anything of significance. So.....when is the n.sea going to awaken?

Well, GFS has the -10 uppers hitting our coast around now. I expect temp to fall, but will it wake the n.sea up?

The wind has picked up once more, hopefully it won't spoil the Narnia-esque landscape outside. I'm really looking forward to seeing the mountains clocked in snow in the morning! :D

Still pelting it down here, hopefully it continues all night as forecast.

According to the Bbc website it's currently snowing. The lampost and my eyes say differant. Goes to show how you can't trust the BBC website, they have even got a story on it that England scored eight.

2-3cm fresh since I arrived, and the wind is definitely dropping now, although the moderate snow is still falling.

The front is fizzling out now, I really can't see the NE getting anything. Smaller flakes here too, so I don't think I'll get much more than the 4-6cm that I already have.
