The very light snow that has been blowing in the wind for the last hour has just started to get a bit heavier and the hills to the west are turning hazy as the snow falls.

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the heavist I'd say its a 0.5 here now.

On latest bbc forecast everywhere east of A1 and south of A69 should do well for decent snowfall just falls 10 mile or so short of newcastle today but overnight it should push into town a bit more.

Light snow in Darlo its sticking to cars and the grass but the roads and pavements are too wet for it to stick currently

The radar is showing it breaking up just as it moves over teesside at the moment which explains why there is nothing over there

Snow shield of the north east is doing its best again. Pavements are bone dry. I really cant see it snowing at all today or tomorrow.
