Appears the two areas of snow are linking together now. Literally above my head!

Cold, dry, overcast and boring all day here. So far not even a flake and the temp managed to reach 3.1C. Hopefully something will reach this area tonight.

Brief spell of heavy snow pu the slush back in the lower regions of Sheffield on my way home. Got home and the snow depth had risen to 5cm it was 2cm this morning just before seven.

Snow light again and conditions similar to when I left for work this morning.

Id have expected it to be deeper by now than it actualy is. BBC this morning was showing 20-40cm for our area, especialy the hills. Im 250m ASL and its only 3 inches id say.

Its not snowed for much of the day tbh though, but snowing again now.

Im hearing that tonight its going to get its act together a bit and this will be the best time for the snow, is that correct? best yet to come??

I think the event was a bit late and its the second band thats producing the goods :)

HC , IM seeing how this front is behaving... i was expecting a shove north east ,then a pivot.... but looking in on radar..all the precip heading up the uk and across the channel has our name on it am i right or wrong
