A bit of sleet now in the snow which is getting gradually lighter.

Well it's sticking fine here and i'm practically at sea level 1.3 miles from the coast. I've been very lucky.

Same here thought being on the coast we would have no chance pelting down and about an inch on the grass

Sticking fine here as well with perhaps another few hours to come yet as well :D Met Office got their amber warnings wrong by the look of things.

This is rubbish, absolute over hype. There's about 2 inches,a little more on the grass and it's melting quicker than it can fall.

Not overly surprised.

I did express my concerns over marginality for lower areas in the North West.

200m of height and you would be laughing - reporting a foot in upland areas of NE Wales!

Snow getting lighter here now, very small flakes again.

They keep talking about heavy snow on the news but I certainly wouldn't class the snow as heavy in this area, moderate at times but not quite in the heavy bracket.

Just measured 17cm lying snow in Mold, NE Wales. Can't get out of my drive. This is at 125m asl. It's at 2010 levels at the moment. All the schools shut.

Sadly and not unsurprisingly nothing here in Hale, Altrincham. A few flakes finally this morning, here's hoping for something from the second band?

Left behind plenty of snow in Bacup, blowing around in very strong wind and drifting. In bury now and although it is snowing quite hard with large flakes nothing is sticking.

I agree, it's been a pretty miserable few months here, cold, wet, very little snow. I think we've managed to get briefly the back end of two snow to rain events and that's about it?
