Still coming down hard, smaller flakes now though. I'll take some photos in the morning down by the Lake.

Isle of man has some strange wether due to its position in irish sea. Lived there 91-2000 remember going to bed one night in mid nineties and no snow, next morning drifts over the hedges and no school.... And was ill off school from king bills one day, it rained really heavy, turned to sleet midday by evening had eight inches of snow! Oh what fun weather can be..... Has ballaugh had power cuts? My grandad is up there....heard nw of island has been worst hit....

Ps mountain webcams looks quite severe.....

Have you literally got zilch? Not even a dusting? blink.png

Absolutely sodding nothing here too in Knutsford. A bit of snizzle, some sleet then nothing since about 8pm apart from a few flakes. It's dry and cold and I'm sulking!!!

Well the snow here has turned moderately heavy yet again, and on that note, I'm off to watch a movie. Night guys.

Light snow here now with a depth of 4-6cm. It is even settling in the town centre now judging by the webcam.

One question. Now I've received nearly 8 inches of accumulated snow why wasn't part of Greater Manchester included or even updated in the amber warning? And its still coming down!

Not a scooby mate. Is it still coming down there?

Getting heavier again here. These orographic snowfalls render the radar useless.

Even people further south in the Midlands reporting 3-4cm now. I haven't got a clue what's going on. Madness.

What I really can't get my head around is how people are reporting it 'belting down' when they're having the same rate of precip showing on the radar as here. I don't buy this orographic thing either as some people are at the same altitude as here.
