Truly remarkable day here in Herts for March 24th. Temp peaking at about -0.7C and a penetrating wind. Went out to clean snow off the cars (it wont be thawing tonight!) and needed to come back in after 10mins to warm through. My goodness its chilly!

You wouldn't want to be playing cricket on Scroby Sands today!

We have really been unlucky with regards to snow recently, usually we get our turn to join in the fun, but not quite happening at the moment.

Well raintoday says snow should be affecting East Norfolk and Suffolk at this moment.

LIES!!! :p

Anyone watching the holland stream, I think there is a suttle hint of change. Just a little finger coming more towards the SE. Maybe nothing yet.

Snowing lightly here again now, looks like I timed my outing just about right - It was pretty cold out there in the wind and even the settled snow is still blowing and drifting, it was worth it though look what I saw ....

I have made a rough calculation on the back of a fag packet that if Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, and Beccles had actually received the snow that the radar has shown us getting in the last three days these towns would now be invisible from outer space. You might just see the tips of the wind turbines poking out through the snow. In Reality.

Still snowing lightly here. Saw some amazing whirl wind snow (snow devils?) out on my walk across the Suffolk tundra with the doggies. Got a cross country trip up to Brandon tomorrow evening to see the GREAT Nigel Farage, so hope we don't get too much more before then.

I thought of a good use for them in 50 years when the Ice Age has us in its grip again. They could put markers on them every few metres to show how deep the ice has got.

is that me or is there another streamer growing

That's what I'm watching, a little finger from the dutch stuff seems to be trying to reach it this time, but may fizzle, it's only little.

Err this streamer does not exist. I'm under it and the sun is out, no convective cloud whatsoever. Just cirrus making the sunshine hazy.

I wish radar stopped showing stuff which doesn't exist. Though if it reaches 20 miles away from Great Yarmouth it will probably appear from nowhere and dump loads on Norwich again rofl.gif

South Essex needs to tell us if they have snizzle, is there really nothing in all that cloud over you guys?

Been out with the kids this afternoon, very cold with light snow all day. Lots of icicles hanging off roofs, remarkable for the time of year.

Incredibly low resolution on that radar though.

We've had snizzle most of the day with a few heavier bursts, but virtually stopped now
