So far today is worse than yesterday as it's not got above 7.0c yet with heavy showery rain, a strong WNW wind and dullness whereas yesterday morning had some hazy sunshine and only light showery rain until nearly midday.

Time to draw breath today. That was some day of weather, heavy rain, storm force winds and to top it off nicely, heavy snow on dartmoor.

Looking ahead, sunday is increasing likely to be a repeat event. This low looks like it might take a more southely track and draw east winds to our shores on it's back edge:(

Summer 2013 is looking a million miles away at the moment

Hope to see BoD pictures on spotlight later.good.gif

Well I sent them but they must have ignored them!! At least she mentioned the snow looking at the online report.... Never mind.... Laying my grandma to rest this afternoon, she knew how much I love the snow, maybe that was her sending me a gift before she goes!!

Your right, last night was pretty packed for us, bring on the weekend!!

11°C and A020.gif

Looking at the accumulative rainfall map, it suggests the MO weren't spot on with the yellow warning. They removed a large part of the West Midland in their revised warning and they had way more than Wiltshire/Somerset/Dorset

seems a vast improvement in the weather for the weekend. OK not wall to wall sunshine but not the wash out envisaged by some models at the start of the week. Looks like the main band of rain is skirting the north devon coast and heading south west through the irish sea. The caveat being its only wednesday and the weather gods can change there mind again!

Hang out the flags! Beautiful blue sky, sunny spells with scattered Cumulus, some TCU and a recent sharp shower.

I hope you guys get something tomorrow, too close to the coast here so i'm 100% sure it'll stay dry all day.

If you're caught directly in any showers tomorrow, wow, you could have some fun!

Slack windflow will stop them moving too far. :)

Anyone shed light on how different the weather charts are for the south west this weekend. MO says we are dry GFS suggests building an ark. Its only 3 days out but the evolutions are very different  search.gif

Yes, I believe it's a low moving from the east to west, which the models are struggling with predicting! Don't expect a clear idea till 24 hours out!

A lovely drive to work, sun shining and feeling pleasantly warm, seems a real shame to be stuck inside this morning.

Yep, I'll echo that. Great bike ride into work this morning. As I was coming into Parkway station I could see CB's in the distance towards Wales. Hoping for a convective day!

One was not expecting a frost this morning, one was even less expecting the dense fog on arrival in Trowbridge to work!

Fine day now though!
