Wednesday 03rd April 2013:

Another clear, cold and frosty night. After a sunny start, low cloud drifted in from the east for an hour or so between 07:00 & 08:00 GMT. Good cloud breaks again before observation allowing sunny spells. All snow patches now melted away in my garden, still a few small drifts remaining in sheltered hedges on near by fields.

Yesterday:

Clear and cold overnight with a moderate to severe frost. Sunny spells and frosty with cloud increasing from the east towards observation. Feeling bitterly cold in the fresh east wind. A dry day followed with good sunny spells so less cold than recently, though still feeling cold exposed to the cold north easterly wind.

yep, almost spring unless you stand in the breeze with a dewpoint of -7.5C.

first day of 10C in my back garden as well since 3 March.

odd things with the dewpoint on the last two mornings, as the frost melts and the humidity rises Td become +ve for 1-2 hours and then drops back to the very low values of the last 2 weeks or so?

Funny I just noticed the dew point -6.2C relative humidity of 38%. No wonder the Snows disappearing quickly. Hit by warmer temps and being blown dry as well at the same time.

A cold and cloudy start to the day, the cloud breaking up during the first half of the morning to allow sunny spells and dispersing even more during the afternoon which was mainly sunny. Feeling very chilly out of the sun with a wet bulb temperature around 1c during mid-afternoon and falling below 0c by 1630 ; the relative humidity was between 35 and 43%.

A continued thaw of lying snow with west and south facing areas having between 10 and 30% cover now. Bar an unexpected ice day tomorrow more than 50% will be lost here too by afternoon.

The walk up the slope to the screen is quite spectacularly icy and slippery after 12 days of walking the same path through the snow and a constant thaw/ freeze process; genuine Torville and Dean territory!

At 1800 g.m.t;

Temp; 2.8c

Clear and breezy last night. Breeze died off towards dawn with a hard frost.

Almost unbroken brilliant sunshine today, excellent visibility, low RH and dew point (RH 36% mid afternoon). Warm in the sun, but quite cold in the fresh NE wind.

Clear with a ground frost this evening.
