Hadley is confirmed at 10.4C after adjustments, the coldest since 1996:

Spring has come in at 6.87C, so the coldest since 1891 and joint 29th coldest in the CET series:

Thats only 0.34C warmer than Winter 2006/07. Very impressive!

Was looking through some of the stats for Ireland and noticed that the last above average month recorded at Dublin Airport was March 2012. That makes it 14 consecutive average or below average months, including this May. Quite remarkable I think.

So when is the last time we had a season that was the coldest for over 100 years? Is it winter 62/63?

Sunny Sheffield closed on 10.6C coldest spring since 1969. Beating 62 by 0.1C. Strange we finished above the CET value as at one stage we were a long way below it.

The latest Overall standings are seabreeze86, March Blizzard, Weather-history

 

However the big news is that the spring seasonal comp is now over and he final 1-2-3 was

Darn. Had i gone with my usual method which suggested 10.7C i would have been joint 7th, i ended up in the 40's. In the seasonal i would have got 2nd although i did get a pleasing 8th. Pleasingly though i am 10th in the annual competition, my previously highest i believe was 12th.
