I suspect that those to the east will want some respite following mid week. The 12Z RAP precip totals aren't great adding to the will it won't it tension. With the stream down again it is difficult to know how those turkey clouds are coming along. Perhaps they need basting.....

Stream is back up and just look at that straight ahead!!!

The cap is getting busted right in front of them!!!

That is such a glorious sight to the stormchaser out in the field.

The strom on the streaming (intermittently at least) looks the best on off presently - those cloud tops are up to 53000ft - not that you can tell from the team position now (too close)

looks pretty explosive out there. I know there's no mention of TN's on the SPC DAy1 forecast, but it looks like later tonight the esrh and llj start to spice things up a bit, so chances increasing after dark -

for anyone who cant get on the stream like me (I'd rather follow NetWeather!) - Jeremy Den Hartog has a nice looking storm, outside of the slight risk area - also Charles Edwards on the NW storm - looks superb http://www.chasertv.com/

Had to retire before before 23Z - busy day Saturday. Really pleased to see your efforts were rewarded yesterday.

Talking of busy: A weekend severe event is shaping up now across a large area, with my attention still drawn to Sunday across NC OK and SC KS where forecast soundings have pretty much all the ingredients for a big event, maybe outbreak level should the LLJ push through the trough as forecast. The eye-popping depth of rich moisture has taken many people by surprise I think and I wonder if the winter snows and late snow melt may have increased soil moisture - one for Roger I think. So, Sunday from 21Z sees plenty of discrete supercells likely once the cap erodes, but watch storm motions - 35-40mph ENE. Not your Texas crawlers!
Oh, and this evening looks lively too especially after 00Z.
