Radar indicating possible F4-5 potential heading almost due east towards Shawnee, team consider safe zone south of Joplin-type damage path that could develop. PDS. hook echo is similar to Joplin 2011 storm.

That hook echo on the Shawnee storm is immense.

A second tornado seems to have formed now about 4 miles northwest of Shawnee moving ENE, radar has what appears to be a debris ball but not a hook echo with this. Should be all clear for Shawnee when this one moves east of the Shawnee I-40 exit.

Pretty certain there has been some severe damage with these various cells but thankfully they have all moved a little north of the larger town, however there are small towns and interstate traffic and businesses in the direct paths.

Looks like EF3/EF4 damage there on News9... just terrible.

Yes awful damage to the most vulnerable - mobile home owners.
