Torrential rain here now, garden flooded and the road resembles a river, no discernable wind direction either

No slugs or snails were hurt during the composition of this post

Not a bad evening, wasn't that thundery but we got a few strikes and rumbles, rain was quite heavy but nothing too crazy, still feeling fairly humid outside even though it's 17C, nice.

ayup, Strikey has just triple bleeped...must be the magnetic radiator in the lounge :D

It's one of my faves though. If it wasn't for the destruction of 'dramatic' weather there over the last 20 years or so, I'd happily relocate there.

I love the big skies - the ones that tell you there's a storm on the way and you've got at least an hour to get the washing in, tie down the cat etc :)  Wish I knew who destroyed our weather though!

Well today had a Yellow warning from the Met O. Sunny all morning and most of the afternoon. Brief rain shower about 5 pm and now it's drizzling.

Utter WUSSES!

Oh well. Not the super thunder storm I was hoping for. But I had a few flashes of lightning, and thunder. Better than nothing though! On the up side we've had plenty of rain and in the morning that will make things a whole lot greener 😊 goodnight all...

You are very welcome Lee. Think I speak for most when I say this is the friendliest thread on NW

I'll say it is. It's better by far than FB and don't get me started about Fiends Reunited. I've had a very happy and fulfilling 14 months here. Fabulous group of people. :)

Like it.

Seriously though, 90% possession of the radar, the equivalent of Barcelona on a good night, no end product, no Lionel Messi on the end of it. BTW, why did you lot leave Lottie on the subs bench, bit complacent!

Seriously, how much thunder was there in Croydon, our office is near the fly-over? Its difficult to hear much above the noise of the traffic, general hubbub about the place. Can only remember seeing 2 flashes and a few rumbles, around 8 o'clock.

Hi tom

Heard about 4 rumbles but saw quite a few cloud to cloud flashes

Our STRIKERS ( get it ?) underperformed tonight

Lottie was tired from the other night so needed to be rested

Gotta go bed as have to be up early tomorrow

Maybe a rematch at the weekend?

Goodnight all

Goodnight John.

Hi Tom 2 flashes and two rumbles. My defence held incredibly well despite the intense pressure from The Storm Freaks...............pah Posted Image

Nothing but admiration for you Jan, surrounded by this lot. So the Bromley shield held up pretty well and you came out of it unscathed, that's great news.

Can't shout  but we've put a bid in, for a French guy in Cherbourg. We've identified this as the problem area on the pitch!

Tom.

Well Tom, at one point I had to have the trainer on who told me to pull myself together, then winked and said it was a bluff, so I gamely carried on and, fantastically they were so many men down it was a breeze Posted Image
