Right! That's that one out the way. Looks like another cell heading up from Bath.

going darker in cambridgeshire now as the band towards the home counties and the SW stretches up this way. apparently it was immense rain last night here, so hoping to actually catch some T and L.

Sky box gone off, torrential rain, street like a river, dog going mad, it's Armageddon!!!!

You're about 15 mins drive from here, and like the rest of the country you're getting the goods. Nothing here, and looking at the trajectory of things on the radar there isn't going to be. Honestly I could stand on the top of a mountain with a lightning conductor strapped to my head and get nothing. Getting extremely annoyed now.

That storm that passed to the S has turned into a beast. Chucking out electrics now.

Had one flicker of lightning and 2 distant rumbles about 11. Nothing since. Good to see a lot of showers around today!

That storm to my east is a monster. Frequent distant crackles of thunder. Looks Stoke way.

Nothing too special yet today. I will note all the showers that hit me:

Shower 1 - Very rapid heavy rain shower with one small rumble of thunder. (2/10)

Distant cloud but bringing distant thunder

Another cloud, not much activity really.

Deep rumbles of thunder to my SW here in Aylesbury. Looks like quite a few lightning strikes on the map!

Crewe netweather radar shows one strike in the last over Crewe...

Its a cell that past over Shrewsbury and went out to chase after my last post. Moving V fast but caught view some lighting north of town. Sadly it passed over as just heavy rain, so Town center residents still not overhead thunder storms.

In terms of whats to come Bug storm to the west of Newtown, and that might skirt west of us but you have a decent chance of it heading your way

Looking at the radar now its a busy day for storms, and the old MW band is cracking away a good un
