A proper cold November evening and the first what I would describe proper chilly autumnal day with a mximum of 7 degrees. We may get down to -1 degrees tonight - the coldest night of the season.

 

At 10pm the grass had a good crunch to it and many car windscreens had the wonderful feathery effect. I think there will be many surprised motorists tomorrow morning awaking to a white scene.

 

Tomorrow should be a chilly day as well early eve will see temps drop markedly again here before clouds roll in during the night.

 

Have to say though we would normally have had a couple of days and nights like this during October - it has been a long wait, but good to see.

 

Those saying its mild - well today's mean for here will be 3.5 degrees, and possibly lower a good 3 degrees the normal for early November - hardly mild!
