Afternoon all.  Had a busy day, so not been able to post until now.  Better late than never though. :D

Had a couple of rain showers today, both timed to coincide nicely with the dog walk.  Both waited until I was furthest distance from home before the heavens opened.  Such is life, eh?

Now drying out and trying to warm up.  I feel cold down to the bones.  Old age gets us all I guess.  Ooh me bones!!!!

Unlike the daily express, and going by the models, they are unfortunately probably right.

coast what you reckon on that mass of very heavy rain now coming into View on the Tip of France..

According to TV graphics, which can be wrong at times, that's heading straight for us.

Had that big flash of lightning with thunder here too, very heavy shower. I though we were meant to be having a few dry days?

Evening all. So the thunder and lightning is just a few miles to my south at the moment though the torrential rain is here with a vengeance.

Sorry to hear of everyones ailments ( mine are too many to list and bore you with here, so I won't  ).

Luke ( Surrey ). If you are that rough it probably wasn't the wisest move to stand in 6 inches or more of floodwater to take those photo's and the video. I dread to think what might been sloshing around in that, maybe that's what you made you ill in the first place. Just saying Posted Image. Good photo's though and I hope you can avoid any further issues.

There could be some treacherous conditions about in the morning, hence the warnings about ice. Take care folks.Posted Image

Must have been some electrical activity hearabouts too, though I didn't see or hear anything. The power went off for about 20 seconds. We had a hailstorm a few minutes earlier. Which definitely confused the dogs, who are only used to our lad throwing snowballs at them.

Lights are flickering like mad here and the electric just flicked off and on again. Same happening in Cranbrook 5 miles from here. Just as the river levels near here start going back to normal more heavy rain starts to fall - Typical.

Sounds very flu-like.  I was once told by a medical professional that the self-diagnostic to determine whether what you have is a cold or flu is to consider your response to this scenario: Someone has left £100,000 in notes in a bag at the top of your driveway.  If you can make it there and back to get the money, it's just a cold!

I've heard very similar to that, but the money involved was somewhat less. :D

Tbh it would have to be a very bad bout of flu to stop me trying to fetch an almost life changing amount of cash from my drive.
