Looks like I'll be hit-and-miss for that beast over France if it makes it. Will be keeping my window open overnight though just in case!

To my untrained eye, the MCS seems to be going a tad NE? Confidence increased to 60:40 :) This could be a scenario when East London is bone dry and West London is cooking...

I notice that and a shelf cloud as well.I think that's it for this area. Nothing obvious in the immediate future by the radar and to be honest it would not surprise we don't get anything tomorrow as well!

Fingers crossed. I noticed the shelf cloud to, it was right overhead, almost looked like it was rotating a bit, the leaves loose on the road were being blown upwards too. Eerie.

I think I could be in the firing line for that &%$!@ gert thing coming out of France! There's some pretty intense rain here at the moment, no audible thunder, but plenty of sferics being picked up by my detector.

How far north do you reckon that MCS over France will get? It could be a noisy night for a lot of people!

Hopefully right up here! Although the worry is with these monsters is that it turns to plain ol' heavy rain by dawn and leaves us with mucky cloud cover hindering potential the next day.

But that probably won't happen  :vava:

Well life in Guernsey for this first storm potential, is a bit frustrating at the moment, we got circled by storms but no hit, ah well maybe overnight things may develop again

Looking in similar health to the Lithuanian system which is still rumbling away as per below

worth posting the above link again given all the pages that have reeled out  in case anyone missed it, magic site and a great find earlier today.

Been a while since I've seen an MCS so heavily influenced by a SE-NW flow...by this stage they often have grown out of it and head NE...wish I was in say Brighton or Bournemouth - if outside of the rain should get some pretty decent lightning shots!!

From the track of the storm I would say Southampton westwards all the way to lands End will get hit. Wales will likely get engulfed by the the storm entirely.

I think it's another night under the stars, but if I am going to miss out, at least it's clear and warm.
