Got woken up to thunder and lightning this morning and still going off in the distance!

thunder finally stopped here but very active little storm that was didn't last long, I really hope something else gets going soon.

Something's better than nothing, so I guess it wasn't too bad! Does seem to be a potent line of showers/storms moving in southern areas at the moment! See what happens with them.Does indeed seem to be some development further south. Edited by Ben Sainsbury

Well so much for the further east in the region you are the better ;) all went to the west  :( hoping sailsbury plane can start some somthing off

Wow look how quickly that cell over Cheltenham developed. Amazing stuff.

 

Looks like one developing just south of Worcester too.

Was up all night and im so glad I did!! Cells are becoming electrified around Cheltenham, Stroud and near Cinderford.... The welsh storms has seemed to have died down?...

Likely because the more unstable air is getting pushed NE and E as front makes its way in.

Gone quiet here now lightning was brilliant thunder kept going on throughout the flashes filmed most of it nice wake up call

at this pace wont the follow the bbc forecast and be into northern england by afternoon

Cell around Cheltenham looks good and could be a contender for me to chase as it pushes north.

I remember at about midnight when some one said that this storm was slow moving and that we'd get it for a while, not nothing :(

Satellite showing clearer spells now for us in the south-west, so with all this rain, hopefully convection should allow more storms to develop later on in the day....
