A team of American scientists has recovered billions of dollars’ worth of “dark data†from the 1960s, pushing back the modern satellite record of sea ice extent by 17 years.

amazing what can be found on all those reels of film that have been in the vaults since before the beginning of time.

A very good find.

It will give us a chance to go back to the 60's with some real visual data.

Lets hope that it is kept as a a valuable data resource. It looks very good so far, with this guy. Lets hope that  it seen as a valuable data resource and not a threat.

Time will tell......
