Forgot to post last night that we had a sleet shower about 6pm. Today it's beautiful cold and sunny. Problem is though i got a stinking cold today which is curtailing one's enjoyment of it.

The temperature is dropping off far quicker tonight, hopefully I can get a proper subzero reading!

2.5°C currently.

I'm feeling a teeny weeny bit christmassy, with the chilly conditions and seeing lot's of lights up! I cannot believe I've just written that? O_O

Beating you tonight MP, we are down to 1.3C here.

Ice in the back garden has remained there all day, so certainly a fantastic sunny, dry say yet a chill one as the ice didn't defrost.

More of these please we luv 'em.

-2.7c back home this morn, not quite the coldest this month/year which was -2.9c last Saturday.

A max of 7.1c and already below freezing there so I wonder if it could go lower before it rises towards dawn due to increasing cloud/wind

Up here in Egham a lovely sunny pure blue sky day after a slight frost.

Frost was on the ground all day in the garden so better than the whole of last 'winter'. Had a very nice walk in the sunshine up Cleeve hill this afternoon again plenty of frost and ice remained in the shade.

Beautiful day, clear skies and a maximum of 5C. All frosted up again outside, shame it's all going to melt later in the night!

Rain here, what's that all about? 0.5mm that showed a change in wind direction and a very quick rise in temperature.

Surprisingly fine day today, was expecting a fair amount of showers but only a brief light shower mid afternoon otherwise dry and quite bright as well as milder. I am laying quite an ironic bet on it raining from around 07.00 tomorrow seeing as I have 2 more days of outdoor work that need doing this side of Christmas!

Frost has gone this morning, it was looking to be quite a potent one by about 10pm last night, only saw one patch of ice in the lanes near Slimbridge and the temp was aroind 6 or 7 all day but felt colder in the stiff breeze.

Rain this morning falling on a cold surface was the cause of 10cars losing their grip on sheet ice, forcing closure of the road.

A rather pleasant and benign day which started quite clear and chilly and has been mostly cloudy/dry with few light showers and some hazy sunshine.

Having been out to dead head plants I have found out that there are a lot of 'Spring' bulbs shooting!

Frosty start today with a minimum of -0.3C. Now 3C with sunny intervals. It's going to feel positively tropical tomorrow and Thursday, very unusual for December!
