Overcast, dank, temp sensor outside has broken down, but I guesstimate it to be around 8c. One of the weather apps I use on my phone is saying THUNDERSTORMS around on Saturday? Is their a real potential for this????

Yes it sure is Peter, yet we get some who say they enjoy it, not sure if they mean it or just making it up, they wouldn't like it in summer thats for sure.

Rain will clear by early morning followed by much clearer cooler conditions.

It makes you feel cosy watching and listening to the rain from inside and the dullness I find atmospheric Eugene, so yes it is enjoyable in its own way dull, mild windy wet weather! Plus the added bonus of measuring the rain and seeing how it tots up over the hours, days, months...

I'll second that!

A cloudy, windy and very mild day with all but a few bits of the snow cover thawing during the day. Much of the day was dry but from mid-afternoon there was intermittent light rain or light-moderate drizzle.
