It wasn't your fault backtrack, you should have been able to forecast the northwest drifting off of the United Kingdom and cruising to the Caribbean though :,)

Woke up half an hour ago, looked out to see crystal clear skies, thought to myself, wow it looks cold. 1C, 2C? Nope, 6.3C........

Well if ever there's a worldwide ice age we know we're to stay! I'm just going to get my shorts and t shirt out and go to the beach.

Had some very heavy hail about 6am which i thought was bound to fall as snow on the local fells (300M ASL), but its all melted from yesterday, disappointing. Praying we get some on Tuesday.

Well it's now a relatively tropical 5oC in Manchester, I live in South Manchester and the ppn is finally going to reach us (up to now it skirts North Manchester and the rest of Greater Manchester) and it's going to be too warm :fool:  hahaha will hold off for temps to drop again later, but these showers dont tend to like where I live. Much more excited about Monday night into Wednesday, when both fronts looking like bringing proper snow to our region!

Had a lot of sleet/snow showers in last 12 hours but temperature refuses to drop below 1.5c so it will not settle, hills around me at just 200meters altitude are white so the snow line is only 70meters above my house.

How frustrating!!!

By the time it gets cold enough for the snow to settle the precipitation will have gone.

Hail at Treales and Salwick - Fairsnape Wardstone  and Parlick fells nice covering also Winter Hill and towards East Lancs - lots of showers over Garstang and Bowland.

Hail here now  - quite dark.

Next week looks interesting but Preston and the surrounds far too coastal as per usual.

I will have to travel.......:D

Horrible weather Id say, thats the thing with marginal, if youre on the wrong side of it its really nasty 'unusable' weather.

I think its inevitable next week will be a miss for us near the coast too.   With very few exceptions we need it to be really cold for us to get lucky, I dont see any really cold weather on the way.
