Currently wet and windy, and radar not giving me much hope of a drier interlude, 9.6C.

Howling winds, 10.4c and drizzly rain, thank the lord Sunday/Monday looking decent (providing Sunday curse doesn't strike up again).

Similar story with some blustery and showery weather. Certainly not been particularly warm either in that Westerly wind with the temperature currently around 10*C.

Rather looking forward to that possible (albeit likely to be brief) warmer spell towards the late weekend. Particularly like the look of the 12Z GEM and 12Z ECMWF for Tuesday where they have the 15*C 850hPa temperatures over Southern areas - would perhaps see some areas of thundery rain and thunderstorms break out, too, as the Low Pressure to the West engages with the plumey air over Eastern and Southern areas. 😘

Cool night, down to 2.7C and it looked like a touch of ground frost around 6am. Currently sunny spells and no wind.

So much for that sunny day we were promised. 6/8 cloud, still feels cool and that damn wind is still there. Come on May, you can do better than this!

Agree, and now there are lots of showers around. So far, we have missed them, but our luck may run out!

Just had a short hail shower. Thought we were going to be under a ridge of HP today?

Constant showers here, making a thoroughly wet day. Had to check the wind wasn't North-Westerly.

Missed all the showers yesterday, but plenty of rain today. Should be easing soon judging by the radar. Cool at just 10.8C.

Nice to see i'm at the top of the lightning detector stations list.

Let's hope it (detector) will get plenty of action this year :D

Quite sad to see the models terminate the warm plume they had for early next week, even though it never looked as though it would last long anyway. I suppose at least there's always further chances throughout Spring and Summer to see some warm/hot plumes and thundery outbreaks.

Definitely been a little on the November-esque side today. A day of cloudy and damp weather. Tis, however, fairly mild at the moment with the temperature around 12*C.

54.8 mm in the first 7 days of May makes in the wettest first week of May since at least 1969 here.

It could be the wettest  first week of the month since well before that as I was recording at a different site in those days and I'm working on the mean difference in rainfall between the two sites.

My previous site recorded 42.9 mm in the first 7 days of May 1969.
