Significant improvement during the day here in South Norfolk.  Grey and drizzly initially, but the sun is out, with fair-weather cumulus, and it was pleasantly warm around an hour or so ago.

Wonderful couple of days coming up. Clear skies, warm Sept sunshine and a refreshing SE'ly breeze. What a shame it won't last. GFS going for rain at some stage of the day from this Saturday through to a week today!

Much much better, the cloud melted away yesterday afternoon and apart from a little fair weather cloud today, it has been warm and sunny.

Beautiful satellite image of Europe this morning. Along with many of our European neighbours our little patch is enjoying a lovely start to the day. Calm and still here in Hadleigh for the moment, no doubt the stiff breeze will fire up soon. Quite gusty yesterday.

Drab morning with rain on and off, some of it heavy. Radar suggests the worst will clear through soon. Currently 16C.

I was out this afternoon so not sure of the max temp, but it sure felt lovely and warm, sat in the sunshine outside the White Hart pub in Hadleigh watching the 'Tour of Britain' cyclists go past with the cricket pitch and 'game on' the other side of the road. Some really wonderful clouds about too. So in the end, today much better than yesterday's forecast suggested.  :)

The latest radar grab suggests a very wet afternoon for south East and East Anglia which is at odds with the met office forcast of showers affecting the coasts. Have the models upgraded this afternoons rain?

Forecast can't seem to make it's mind up. In the space of 12 hours gone from heavy rain all afternoon, to drizzle, to nothing, to heavy rain to nothing.

 

Radar suggests heavy rain is correct.
